Would be swell if we could get the tracking information. It's good to know when the package arrives.

You can - just email them. I got tracking info when I ordered The Fog a couple of weeks back. Though I got the impression they weren't too happy about being asked. :(

Re-animated: I send them one mail a month ago, asking for shipping confirmation. Never got an answer.

Sorry to hear that. I'd shoot them another email.

Just got a confirmation that my The Fog copy has just been sent from Amazon.com.

The entire thing including international postage was only 33 euro.

Score.

I got a shipping confirmation from CDWOW (where it seems it's now sold out).

The whole thing + international postage was £26. I would have preferred to get it directly from DWR, but that would have been £41.00.

That said, I can definitely understand why DWR needs to send registered. I just prefer to order 2-3 items at a time to save a little on postage that way, but this time I just needed the Gold edition.

I phoned Monorail music in Glasgow and the cost for the Fog is£28.99 and I pick it up from the store in Sep as well as 'God Only Knows' so looking forward to September.

Is that a Nicolas Winding Refn directed Beach Boys biopic?

I pre-ordered The Fog from Norman Records. They had optional tracking & insurance, but I took it anyway. Wouldn't want my vinyl end up like the one in the USPS pic on DWRC's Facebook. Also, the total was £38,19 (26,99 for the vinyl). I hope they get Beyond The Black Rainbow released soon, that's a kick-ass soundtrack!

I don't see why asking them for tracking information would upset them. After all, you've payed for shipping, haven't you? Looking forward to getting the package and holding the record in hands.

I forgot to mention, I got my copy of The Fog from that small batch that got put up a few weeks ago. I got the haze version and it is STUNNING. This is one of the best packaged records I have. The sound is great. The litho is framed already(I think it freaks out my 3 year old son a little), but I love it. So glad to be on board for subscription #3.

Well, this is a question for Spencer and the DW crew (or anyone "in the know")

How come the sleeve art and style has changed over time? The first releases had a common style with the blue "frame" around the cover art with a spine quote. Then the frame disappeared but the spine quote remained. And with The Fog and Maniac the spine quote is gone as well. I'm not saying this is bad thing but I'm just a bit curious as to how this came to be.

Keep up the good work!

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the spine quote - it's a nice touch I guess but I'm old-fashioned and like seeing the name of the movie when I'm scanning the shelves...

My copy of The Fog repress arrived this morning - WOAH BABY

Was always my intention to start out with a mission statement so to speak. I wanted the first batch to look like an old scholl video sleeve. Now we're onto subscription 3 the back sleeves will be changing again. Keeping thigs fresh and moving the label forward.
The Fog and Maniac fell out of the Sub so spine quotes went with them, I love the spine quotes, sorry Dan !
And they'll be back starting with Ms.45 and Room 237

Huge fan of the spine quotes here - they've all been really good picks too, avoiding the obvious but still coming up with really evocative ones (Manchester Morgue being a particular fave).

Yeah, love the spine quotes too. The only spine I don't like is The Fog - the very large licensing acknowledgment, which I'm sure was absolutely necessary, makes it not look that great on the shelf.

The old school video sleeves were cool, but I'm glad DW chose to move on. Such awesome original artwork deserves to be given a full sleeve!!

And hey, Spencer, any idea when Room 237 is gonna drop? Really looking forward to that one! :)

Thanks Spencer for clearing that up. By the way, how'd you come up with the spine quote idea? I really like them although sorting the vinyl is bit trickier. I know that Empire Magazine have done spine quotes since forever.
