deafmetal wrote: Fri Feb 24, 2023 12:30 am @inks - Eccellente! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I recommend a listen as high volume in a dark room along with your favorite beverage. For such a wonderful Beat Records album, it is a bit odd that this one seems to have a bit of a sub-standard sleeve on thin paper. The glue has also failed on my copy as well.
And in my copy as well!
Congrats @inskb. Brilliant score!

So happy to have finally indulged in the world of wax again.
Last year I only bought a couple of records. I am trying to set things right this year. And add at least another 25 Morricone scores I don’t yet have.

These are the three Riz Ortolani records from my recent haul.
I have no idea about Lo Scandalo but this appears to be the only version of the score. Because of the very intriguing cover I had to have it...

Confessione Di Un Commissario Di Polizia Al Procuratore Della Repubblica is a fantastic score and I have the Four Flies re-issue as well. This is the Japanse re-issue from 1987. I wanted a copy with the obi of course, but that always goes for a bit too much. Eventually I will get one of course :-)
The Italian OG from 1971 is even more rare/expensive so that probably will never happen. And you have to draw the line somewhere when collecting...

Una Sull'Altra is a score I wanted for a long long time. There are a lot of versions and pressings but I always wanted the OG on Beat Records from 1969 the most. There appear to be 3 versions of that release with catalog number LP 004. Does anyone (looking at you @Deaf and @Texas) know the reason why or difference between them?
On discogs 2 have the year mentioned and the third one doesn't.
There is a black label (with SEDRIM on it) I think that is the first press. I notice now it has a white back cover and mine is red.
There is a white label promo.
I see the repress from 1973 has a light blue label and the same white back cover as the OG. But is has catalog number LPF 004
Looking at my copy it has a darker blue label (without SEDRIM) and with the Beat logo without the addition of the United Kingdom Manchester part below it.
The Matrix is hand written and says the same as the OG: 24-9-69 BT LP004 A
There is also the stamp on the a-side of the label.
And the back cover is red with a different layout. (https://www.discogs.com/release/1539990 ... e-Del-Film)
This makes me believe it is a repress from between 1969 and 1973. There is no date to find anymore besides the matrix.

Bez, I am not sure on the date of the blue label reissue, but I will get a question over to Beat Records and see if they could provide more info.

Inspired by the recent @Bez haul to finally nail a copy of this down - had to go for Le Edition Francais because, you know, ‘art reasons’.
