PROM NIGHT (Dark Forces, 2018)
Very happy with this after all! It sounds just as good as the Funhouse boot, and I'm enjoying the dialogue 'skits' - as a bonus, they actually heavily feature the Zaza/Zittrer score cues missing from the OG Japanese release which were added to the 1984 release.

MARNIE (Stylotone, 2019)
This is another 'WOW' package from ST, after their excellent release of Twisted Nerve - and it's similarly loaded with 7", huge poster and LP-style compact disc with even more cues! I've yet to spin this one, it's next on the deck so will report back.

THE ENTITY (Wyrd War, 2019)
What a monster - well worth the wait on this one, WW have done a superb job of pressing this to wax, it's loud and disturbing and brilliant, and creeps me out. Love this score. Excellent work with the sleeve too, soft touch matt board with spot varnish logo etc.

PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE (Performance Records, 1989)
I've been after this for years at a good price, and in nice condition - and this ticked both boxes! Might wait until a bit closer to Halloween before I give it a spin, though I'm super curious as to whether it's just a big chunk of the movie on vinyl (which is my guess) or whether there's isolated music cues. Either way, dead chuffed to finally have this!

Adding that plan 9 to my “in search of” list

Some recent arrivals.

Haruomi Hosono - Philharmony
This album is fantastic. I've listened to it on youtube a few times but sitting down to listen to it made for quite a different experience. The pressing is really good, clear, loud and quite a bit of bass.

Haruomi Hosono - Hochono House
I generally dislike when artist re-record classic songs/albums of their youth. Most artists can't pull that off and tend to make bad choices. This album is the exception, Hosono's voice is incredibly impressive for some one in their early 70's, he recorded every instrument on the album himself. Some more stripped down versions while others he adds new sounds to the song. Highly recommend you give this a listen if you are familiar with the original album Hosono House.

Metroid 2 & Super Mario Land 1/2 OST
These sound pretty bad, I feel sorry for the folks who bought the $45 lathe's. The schmuck who runs the label, Select Start, is a mess and I've been trying to get him to ship me my copy of Super Mario Land & Moonwalker that I ordered in November (every one received theirs in January) so it's been a process and he still didn't send Moonwalker...

Midnight Demon 2 & Where Dreams Go To Die
The two newest additions to the Spun Out of Control library. Midnight Demon 2 might just be better than the first, Andy did a great job on this album and Antoni's album is a creepy atmospheric trip. I really love both of them and the split shell's might be the best looking tapes Spun has put out to date.

@334578rpm - nice scores! That Cipriani is a nice little treat with Papaya on the flip.
It sure is! It's actually the only one of the three scores on the lp that I'm familiar with, thanks to the awesome OWS release.

That warped Marnie was a blessing in disguise.
LITA offered me 50% off my whole next order and I cannot believe I got all of this for about $70:

I cannot stress enough how amazing this is.
I’ve never heard these songs in this kind of fidelity. This pressing crushes any other presentation of these songs I’ve ever heard.

There are 12 Dawn of the Dead tracks on this baby!

Not pictured, also picked up roger rabbit, the conversation (Spencer had some do the trunk LP) mission impossible fallout (rewatched that the other day and decided the score is pretty cool, wouldn’t have ordered it but having got it on hand I figured why not)

Killer haul @hatter, looks like you spent a pretty penny at the Cadabra table. What are the two underneath 2001 and Mr Eff?
That new Alone In The Woods album is beautiful, listen with headphones is highly recommended. There's a lot going on.

I may order that Tales From the Crypt LP. I really want it and just sold a few records on Discogs I don't listen to anymore.

I'll answer for him. Yes it's 2LP, they announced that about a week or two (or confirmed?). Goes up for sale this coming Thursday at 12pm EST.

Hey @Spun - on the back of that OBI, am I understanding that correctly: Cine Beat have a vinyl reissue of Stridulum in the works, with original sleeve art? Dang I hope so... I would be all over that like cheap wallpaper!

Thanks guys! It was a great time, the two @inks asked about are the color out of space, and the I Notturni Di Yuggoth LP with a variant cover. It was great to finally meet him in person, I’ve mentioned before that I was his very first customer, and he’s based only a few hours from me in upstate NY, so we’ve gotten to know each other over email for a while now but had never managed to meet in person until now.

I can coincidentally relate.
Last night, the record which contains “Don’t Let Go” from Creepshow arrived like this.
