My Nippon Columbia 'TV Original BGM Collection' Collection (plus a little Seiji Yokoyama heat at the end).

I'm still missing about 5 lps from this series, or the ones with that logo on the obi at least, may pick them up some time, if the price is right.

Some are definitely better than others in the series but still on the whole its all fairly solid stuff.

And also if anyone has a Dracula Sovereign of the Damned obi spare, PM me! Dollarhyde's got the Dollars ;D
Brilliant pics! Fantastic collection!

@vinyljunkie - Nice way to kick off the season, Jorge. I still need to land a copy of Halloween IV.

Great picture, VJ.

Agreed, Deaf. I need H4 as well. Wasn't there some speculation that DWRC would be releasing this?

And also Spencer teased an Alan Howarth synth release on social media, I believe.

wasn't sure where to put this, just wanted to show off my THINGs

I was discussing with some friends about OGs Vs. RePresses, and their experience was that the source/mix/masters were the most important thing and that most of their represses were equal or better sounding than the originals, they mentioned the newer Pink Floyd releases as exemple. But a lot of you guys mention that, at least in the Library LPs scene, the OGs are most of the time better.

Mastering is important. The original recording and mixing are important. Often format is a factor for people (certainly for most of us). Many folks confuse loud with better and in so doing sacrifice dynamic range. It all really comes down to personal preference. Which of your two The Things do you prefer? What are their differences to your ear?

To echo and build on Mateo, it also depends on what format the audio was actually recorded for. An analog recording is always going to sound richer and warmer on an analogue format, but a digital recording often doesn’t gain anything from getting slapped on wax, something designed to be heard in a digital format may best be enjoyed in that format. It’s also why a lot of us are trigger shy about reissues. I don’t want the cd sources pressed on wax, that doesn’t do much for me. It’s why I tend to always buy originals of older bands, and most of the newer records I have are OST reissues because these labels tend to be careful about their sources.

Finally completed my bubblegum crisis ost LP collection.
All complete except I'm missing the poster for part 5 (the pain is deep).

It took a while to do. I'm really curious to see the poster for part 5 although it will most likely make the pain worse. I know it's an illustration of some sort. Took bloody ages to get part 5 that record does not turn up.

@Dollar - Your Bubblegum Crisis collection is just insane. Well done putting that together, and I really appreciate all your audio shares. Hearing those albums really take me back in time. Also, I have been trying to bag a copy of The Devil Comes and Blows a Flute for a while now without success. It's is proving to be elusive.

That us a beautiful score. I've kept a weather eye out for a reasonably priced copy myself over the years, but folks are really proud of that one.

Well I got 'lucky' on a couple of obi's but did not go for Japanese scores. Mainly classic horror scores. I think I will have something to show you in two weeks :-)
