Al.divino & Estee Nack are two rappers I've discovered over the last few months and become kind of obsessed with. Definitely not for everyone but a lot of their stuff you can find on youtube, nothing on streaming services and only a few songs on bandcamp. If you want to check them out Akira On Acid is a good place to start to see if they are your style.

Music for TV I sampled on bandcamp after a friend sent me a link and I ordered immediately but haven't had a chance to listen yet.

Rome Streetz is another rapper, I recommend checking out Headcrack or Street Farmacy as an entry point.

Rigz, M.A.V. and Napoleon Da Legend fall more into traditional hip-hop than the ones above. All great albums and I think all on streaming services.

Black Sound From White People is another Library record from Sonor so I just bought it after sampling 30 seconds of the first song lol
Ahhh. My first SBTC homework assignment it a long stretch. Thank goodness I have the weekend ahead of me.

Amazing! I almost got one at a good price a few months ago. I ended up losing the bid on ebay around $70. What did you pay and where did you get it from?

Damn, congrats on that price. Ebay being weird, I have an email notification set up for all new listings of Bruno Nicolai but never got an email for that one. It probably would have just been us inflating the price on each anyways so better off that you got it at a great price haha.

Dude......
Was surprised to pick up that LA Master at a reasonable price. The record with the beautiful lady on the front, Chiemi Eri, is also nice. Kind of exotic big band Latin jazz things going on with amazing vocals. Exotica fans might dig this one, maybe?

Tasty haul, Dollar. Cosmos and LA Master are well as hell. What's just to the right of Cosmos? It looks extremely familiar, but the glare (and the brain fog) is holding my recall at bay.

@mateo

It's one of the many Digital Trip Synthesiser Fantasy LPs by Osamu Shoji. This is based on the Touch Anime. It's a good one IMO but this copy is kind of trashed, putting to rest the myth all 2nd hand Japanese records are NM ;). It was super cheap, fingers crossed the okki nokki redeems it some.

Okay! Not what i was thinking of, but now i need a hi-rez image of that cover so I can finally launch that new line of Trapper Keepers I've been working on.

Haha, yes! You would be on to a winner.

Part of me wants to get a complete series of these digital trip synthesizer Fantasy LPs. We say it's all about the music but I would be lying if these amazing covers weren't a key influence. Is it called "Op art"? or maybe "light art?" I know it was a thing in the 80's.

I’ve been getting things here and there but just have barely had any time to get too deep into stuff lately, but I did want to share the coolest thing I got in the last month (took some real negotiating and patience!).

haha, thanks all!

have to admit, this was a bit of a holy grail for me (although there are some pages, and thus records, missing).

I’ve continued to get these Hi-Q records, too, but they’re not much to look at so I haven’t bothered to post pics of them.

The black was all sold out by the time I pre-ordered so I got the “Sacred Bones web orders only” on all of these.

Probably noisier than the black would have been but oh well. Really enjoying them all so far.

Those 4 are on their way to me as well, I was able to get the black from juno.co.uk.
Strange, that the black sold out. Usually, people go for the limited variant stuff. Maybe it was sold out 'cause black ones went to distro ? I previewed Black Mass Lucifer online and it seems amazing, I'll be listening to the others without having heard them before.

Jimmy_Mike wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 2:14 pm Black Mass Lucifer was a solid DFC recommendation back in the day.
Yeah Black Mass is one of the best of these. But they’re all really pretty great.
My “Music From Patch Cord Productions” LP was super warped, enough that it was audible on side 2, so I didn’t finish that one (they’re sending a replacement). But I really liked what I heard so far.

All 4, really solid releases.
